Hibiscus plants will bring an exotic look to your garden, they are durable, can grow 3 meters in height. The blooms are fully of colours attracting butterflies and birds.
Need an acidic and drained soil; if the plant is under-watered it is possible that the blooming process would stop. Need direct sunlight for five to six hours a day.
The plant should resist to the winter and will leaf out in spring when temperatures warm.
Pruning. definition: “trimming or cutting branches to improve growth and appearance.“
If you are going to prune a hibiscus plant to rejuvenate its look, it should be done in early spring. This will stimulate the budding process and help the plant thrive throughout the summer months. If you happen to prune your hibiscus plants late in the season, do not trim the branches too far back because it can hinder the blooming process. Will be better to use a liquid fertilizer high in potassium.
If the leaves turning yellow can be caused by too much water.
